Bond question? need help...
I was charged with overstaying my visa, thrown in jail was released on
a $10,000 bond. In June of this year I was awarded the green card and
my case was closed. Since then I have received my green card and stamp
in passport. But I have been waiting for the release of the bond, not
my money, till this day. My question is how long does it take for the
immigration to release the bond? And is there any way for me to speed
up the process?
Thanks for any help.

When I was working for immigration bail bond company... back pre 9/11 era...
it usually takes upto 3 months before the INS back then send us an
exoneration letter. I'm not sure now. But I seen something like at least 30
days. Then again, I'm not sure nowdays.

My friend paid it directly to immigration in the form of a check.
