BIG PROBLEM
Hi
I am currently here on a 12 month graduate visa, i was initially denied the visa because of a previous conviction for possesion of cannabis when i was 18, i was granted the visa in may of this year, i was part of a sting operation by cops for underage drinking, i thought i knew the guy, i got the case dismissed, i now am currently in the possible process of an E2 visa,
i know, even if the case was dismissed i have to declare that i appeared in court,
will this hinder my visa application even though the case was dismissed?
any advice is greatly appreciated

Re: BIG PROBLEM
I've never heard of a J-1 visa being called a "graduate visa". For future reference, call it what it actually is.
Can it? Yes. Will it? There's absolutely no way to know in advance!
BTW, feel free to use the odd capital letter and the occasional "." rather than a "," ... it'll really improve readibility!

Re: BIG PROBLEM
Should be similar process to the J1. Both are non immigrant visas.

At least I admit it. I don't hide behind the anonymity of a cute username... and I always sign my posts with my real name! Unlike so many others, I don't pretend to be something that I'm not... and I call it as I see it.

There is a fine line between being a straight-shooter and being rude. Your tendency for name-calling comes to mind here - "idiot" seems to be a favorite (see 4 of your recent posts, referenced below-there are many more).

Re: BIG PROBLEM
I have no issue with his advice, just his manner of delivery. In my opinion, the name-calling adds nothing to his posts and the omission thereof would not detract from the quality of his advice.
