I suppose that having onions for breakfast would lead to a very quiet day as nobody would want to get too close...

Admittedly, I'm sticking my neck out hugely here, but I would say it's a pie, made with potatoes and cheddar cheese.

Potato Cheddar and onion makes for a lovely Pasty. :)

Mrs. N. makes 'em for me. :)

Sure, if she would let me.

(Actually, I don't eat breakfast at all).

They look bloody good. A combination of cheese, potatoes, onions and pastry can't be bad though.

I would. It's not that different to eating something like a breakfast burrito, or huevos rancheros.

I don't understand this idea of designating particular food items as being only for particular times of day. Why wouldn't you just eat what you fancy, regardless of what time it was?

I would. I've had cheese, potatoes and onions in some form at breakfast time plenty of times, just not usually all together in a convenient pastry-wrapped serving.

I've always loved the "everything" and the "except" posts.

Most things would be ok for breakfast but I think I'd draw the line at Spaghetti, not sure why though.

It'd be a pain in the arse first thing in the morning.

Breakfast is much more suited to a bunch of things that can all be thrown into a frying pan; or rolled up into burrito form.

I bet spaghetti would work in both of those applications. :)

It probably would, but pasta is just empty carbs. That'd fill you up too quickly and leave less room for bacon and sausages. And black pudding.

I'm with you on leaving room for bacon & sausages, but there is no need to leave room for black pudding

Replace it with an extra sausage, as required.
