Default B & B's in the Mumbles area.

Does anyone know of a good B & B in the Mumbles area I can look at? Even Swansea somewhere good will do too. Heading to Scotland for my MIL's funeral and plan to head down to South Wales to put some flowers on my parent's grave. Something I need to do as it will a long while before we come back to the UK again after this.

I usually look on Trip Advisor and read the reviews. I've found some fantastic places that way.

. Thanks, I gather no-one here has ever been to wales - or wants to... Crazy thing is, some are fully booked and others shut for the winter. Means I may end up staying with family which curtails the freedom to do things. Oh well.

You could try over in MBTTUK. There might be someone over there who knows of somewhere.

My MIL lives in Solva, near St. Davids....she knows B+B'ers around her, but like you said, many shut out of season.

I love the Gower! I have stayed in a B&B in the Mumbles but basically we just turned up and asked in every B&B till we found one with a room. It wasn't that great so I wouldn't recommend it. Good luck finding one.

Just use a Premier Inn. They are ubiquitous here and pretty reasonable, especially booked in advance.
