It is bonkers. A friend from school was out there when it happened. Was covering a story and said the cops were great.

This was tragic to hear while at work today. Had a Sky News stream on all day following the story.

How about from now on if they run down every ISIS prisoner taken with a great big armored car.

Taking the positives, which is difficult, all the moaning that goes on about the homeland, but it's times like this when you see the great in Great Britain. From the unarmed cop running towards the prick (cause that's what he was) armed with 2 large knives, to the MP running towards the gunfire to give the downed officer CPR in a vain attempt to save his life, to the the people stopping on the bridges to help the injured (this is in a city where you don't even make eye contact with anyone else whilst riding the tube). I for one am feeling pretty proud to be British this morning. RIP to all those that lost their lives.

I foresee a lot more ram-raid bollards along pavement edges and/or every so often in the middle of the pavement, in areas where there are often crowds.

The UK threat level is still at Severe, so no change there. You are still more likely to be run down while crossing the street in London than be a victim of terrorism. It just becomes part of life, I was conditions to look for abandoned packages and looking in garbage cans for suspicious items. I am assuming central London still does not have garbage cans on the street.

I don't think that would make much difference. They would all probably become martyrs and fly off to heaven to live with their 50 virgins or whatever it is.

It breaks my heart though to see things like this happening in a city I've always loved.
