Anyone working on any projects...?
This is my own TARDIS where I can escape for a wee sherry...
Been working on it off and on for over two years now.
Funny thing is it started as a shack to store all my old tools, shovels, wheelbarrow etc but it took on a life of it's own. Concrete floor, drywall, electrics etc.
I've now come to the conclusion that I can't let my old dirty stuff near it and I'll need to build another one for those items.
(You also see the boring weather I have to put up with 95% of the year...no wonder I want to get back home.)

Nope. But after winter, will be getting the veg patch back into shape...this year the missus has said she's not even going to pretend to help out and it's just me and the chap who lives upstairs.
Have had a fill of fixing broken kids toys and electronics though.

That's one beautiful box, it would be welcome in my shed.
Funnily enough I've been considering building a telescope...the cold winter nights here give excellent views of the Milky Way and I'm quite a distance from the light pollution. And my original nuts and bolts trade is in Physics.

This might be the year we finally get around to finishing the basement.

Been working on this with the help of some friends (much more talented than me I must admit) for a couple of months.

Too many to list, but #1 priority currently is finishing painting the siding. It rained too much last year, but in any case I either needed to rent a builder's lift, or buy a longer ladder to reach the three gable ends and the partial gable over the garage.
Last night I finally took the leap and ordered a ladder, a super-heavy-duty class IIA 40 footer and the sooner it gets here the better. The ladder cost about the same as renting a lift for the weekend, but at the end of my project I'll still have a 40' ladder!
* The 24' ladder I have is a Type I, only rated for 250lbs, and gets very "bouncy" on maximum extension. In any case it leaves me about 8' short of the top of the gable.

I'm currently debating whether I want to try taking on an outdoor kitchen myself... I have utilities run to it (water, gas, electric & drain) so it would be fairly straightforward, it's a question of whether I could do a decent job in a reasonable time period...

Working on turning the garage into a bit of a man cave. So far, all I've done is hang a dart board
