I've always liked the 1970, I think they started detuning them in '71. It was the same bodystyle though.

All I know is that it had a huge engine that would send me through the whole of the town with a tap of the gas pedal....and I got about 8 miles to the gallon. We sold it to a coworker of my mom's....he 'converted' it a racecar for the local speedway.

Are you referring to the car or just in general? If the car, how about a Nash Metropolitan? If in general...:D

I just got rid of my '03 Jetta, not because there was anything I didn't like about it but because DH thought I should have a new car for Christmas. I really loved it too; it never gave me any trouble.

AND, I bought a Ford Mustang GT.....the first American car I've owned since my '86 Camaro! Since then (20+ years), my ex, myself, and 2 college kids have had 3Honda Civics (great cars), a Nissan Maxima (worst car I've ever owned), an Isuzu Trooper (best car I've ever owned), and 2 Toyotas (mediocre to sh*t).

DH and I both bought American this year...we'll see how it goes.

I really do think we are related... :D
Do you love your Mustang? That's what DH really wanted, but I told him he'd have to go get a j o b if he felt that strongly about it.
And I have wanted an old style Trooper ever since we drove one to Belize & back.

Since I was yapping about it before, here finally is a pic of the DH's new ride.

1983 El Camino Conquista. Fingers crossed!!

omg that's sweet..
The guy we bought from is ratholing a '71. Maybe if we stay friendly with him....

What I like about this one is all the restoration has been done. DH is fiddling with little stuff like the cruise but we're very happy to have moved this along:
