Default American Sit Coms

Is it just me being uncool, or is 'Will and Grace' bloody hilarious? I love it so much, I want to have sex with the entire cast. I feel that way about 'Frasier' and 'Soap' (when it was on). American OH finds 'Are You Being Served' extremely funny, and I don't know why - though I like it. it reminds me of being twelve years old and safe at home in front of the fire on a school night, after a bath.

Talk sit coms to me. I'm going off line for a bit, but I'll be back later. Toodle hoo.

Funniest thing about Will and Grace was the rich lady. I thought Frasier was great and Soap was pure genius. My all time favorites though are M*A*S*H and All in the Family, with All in the Family taking #1.

I really liked 'Will and Grace' as well, and Sienfeld, Frasier,Cheers, and M-A-S-H,
never could stand 'are you being served'...my all time fav has to be 'Only Fools and horses'....rented a few from netflix a while ago,but they were older shows and just didn't feel right, they seemed to be very 'dated',maybe it's just because it's been SO long since I'd seen it,I watched all the Dave Allen things on U tube a while ago, someone had put a link on the BE....I was crying with laughter!,he never seemed to age, very sad to see he died.

Big Bang Theory is quite good, 2 and a half Men is good too. How I Met Your Mother is fairly OK. They are about the only sitcoms I watch nowadays. Favourite UK ones are AbFab, As Time Goes By, and several others.

Love Seinfeld, Will & Grace, King of Queens and Frasier! Of the sitcoms that are still in production, I am a big fan of 2 and a 1/2 Men, the New Adventures of Old Christine and the new Christina Applegate one called Samantha Who. Now if only they would turn the online series In the Motherhood in to a made for TV sitcom, I would be very happy. It is hilarious!

or Black Books.

I never got the hysteria around Seinfeld - it was reasonably funny, but the stand up routine at the beginning of each episode was never funny to me and just got me in the wrong frame of mind to really enjoy the rest. Seinfeld himself is not funny - the only reason it was funny at all to me was the other characters.
