It was always going to be in my opinion, they were seeking the release of some landing slots to prop up failing airports who could easily lose half of their daily departures from this merger.

It will probably, that means in the space of about 5 years the US based transatlantic airlines have went from 5 to 3 so that is a major dent in the amount of competition with the majority of the European airlines charging higher prices.

And despite the fact the people are in general getting larger, airline seats are getting smaller.

American are currently bragging in TV commercials about their super new 777W fleet but neglect to say that whereas the old configuration was 2-5-2 across, it is 3-4-3 on the new planes.
