Ironic that he couldn't handle the imprisonment that he subjected the girls to. Although I wondered if it's really that easy to get hold of a noose in a high security prison. I imagine the other prisoners (and maybe even the guards) in there didn't think too highly of, wonder if there was foul play involved.
I can't help wondering if an assisted suicide option should be given to any life without parole inmates.....there are probably quite a few out there that would take it up if offered, but haven't got the balls/ability to manage it on their own..I suspect a death by slow strangulation in a homemade bed sheet noose is considerably 'less pleasant' than a quick injection, or even a 'professional' hanging, come to that! It could save a few pennies over the years.........maybe even give the surviving family a tax break

Thought had crossed my mind too....
