For those thinking of going to Blighty, you may want to think about getting your tickets asap.
CNN is reporting that prices are set to rise by 50%+ for Travel around the Christmas Holidays.

However for Christmas and other major holidays, it doesn't help to wait since the airlines are usually 100% booked well in advance of the holidays.

Edit: We could use the extra space to load up on Choccies, Jammie Dodgers and all the other stuff that we all crave..........Just a thought.

If everyone was paying the same price, it would still cost you 2 or 3 times the normal economy fare.

We're going back at Christmas. Been watching the fares into Teesside since the summer, and they've been consistently around $1500 each (7500 for the family). Today, BA into Newcastle (via LHR) came in at 6600 for the 5 of us, so we booked it. Better departure times, but 45 mins from my Mams, so not quite as convenient as Teesside which is only 20 mins, but for $900 its worth the extra drive (which my sister will be doing anyway - I'll be asleep!
