Adventureman - raising funds for children’s hospitals
Three years ago a somewhat-bonkers guy from Gloucershire decided to run across Canada, raising funds for children’s hospitals.
He’s at it again, this time running across the USA. If anyone can offer a bed for the night, a hot meal or a few dollars for his efforts - and simply just spread the word, that would be wonderful.
He’s kicked off this week in Washington. The funds he raises go 50/50 to UK and US children.

I have no connection with Jamie - I just followed this slightly mad fella as he crossed Canada and raised a few dollars as he ran past my town in Alberta, through brutal weather and snow.

I get the super endurance cyclists coming past me in the summer, certainly takes a specific type.

I was lucky enough to spend this evening with Jamie, a really amazing guy.
Came away with a real appreciation for his work and how he and others go through such hardships to help others. Strange to be in a house filled with British accents.

Jamie was amazed that some companies, especially around here, will match all donations.
Not only is he running from the west coast to the east coast, he pretty much runs the whole length of the west coast as he only turns inland somewhere in SoCal, I was suggesting that if you have run down to LA you might as well enjoy San Diego as well.

5 States complete and he’s now in Texas.
Jamie is finding it tough right now and has been running through the night for weeks due to the heat in Arizona.
Any help you can offer, or just by spreading the word with your network would be wonderful.
