So has Biden won or not? Asking for a friend.

If you have to ask that question then the misinformation is being successful, so perhaps we have to say not.

Mathematically, he has won. Among the witch-burning crowd and the crime family seated in the White House, he has also won but maths is being denied and instead a series of meritless suits are being filed by Trump lawyers.

He can delay, but the likelihood of anything else happening is slim. The states still have to ratify the count, and for that the counting must finish.

"Trump picked up 140 votes over Biden in Maricopa County out of about 6,250 additional votes counted."

I want to thank Christ that Arizona was not decisive for the election. The tension would have been absolute torture.

Yes. Biden won. Trump lost. He's just stirring up shit. He needs to pack his shit and get out of the White House.

It was more a question asked in relation to some of the comments above, from JG amongst others that whilst it appears to be called, apparently it hasn't officially.

It's the "called" terminology that causes confusion. Calling is what the AP and other news outlets do. The official declaration is when the states certify their counts. And Congress ratifies in January. However, in every other election I've ever known the losing candidate concedes after the "calling" has happened because they can actually do the maths too and aren't part of a crime family that wants to hang onto power come what may.

The results will be certified individually by the states when all the ballots have been counted. That is what decency dictates. But math can tell you, once a certain amount of votes have been reported, whether or not it is too close to call or done and dusted. There are only so many registered voters in any given county/precinct ... quite often the writing is on the wall long before the counting is done. For example, Texas is still counting yet Trump has claimed the electoral votes (38!) in his tally. Should we take those back for now?

Hillary Clinton conceded long before the counting was done because math. Can you imagine if she had pulled this bullshit?

In conclusion, Trump can count and recount but he's not going to find enough votes to flip this race. In normal times this race would have been called much earlier .... everybody was tip-toeing and kowtowing for days. Apparently all in an attempt to "ease" the toddler into getting used to the idea that he lost the election. Seriously. Decent people are still behaving decently in the face of this ridiculous person.

Don't believe the nonsense. They're just stirring up shit because, in the middle of a pandemic, they can think of nothing else to do with their time.

Trump needs to make a plan because he's leaving.

I was only 4 at the time, but I remember this....
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...11c72b2479.jpg

Fortunately it isn't happening this time.

"As a presidential candidate, Gov. Thomas Dewey of New York was not a glad-hander, not a flesh-presser. He was stiff and tended toward pomposity. “The only man who could strut sitting down” was the crack that made the rounds. But on Nov. 2, 1948, Election Day, an overwhelming sense of inevitability hung about the Republican nominee. The polls and the pundits left no room for doubt: Dewey was going to defeat President Harry S. Truman. And the Tribune would be the first to report it.

Arguably the most famous headline in the newspaper’s 150-year history, DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN is every publisher’s nightmare on every election night.

Like most newspapers, the Tribune, which had dismissed him on its editorial page as a “nincompoop,” was lulled into a false sense of security by polls that repeatedly predicted a Dewey victory. "

Thank you. I had understood all that but then got confused by words. :D Trump doesn't need to make a plan, he just moves back to NY or the golf course and continue his life as it was five years ago. It's not like he gave anything up for the WH job.

Anyone else still getting political ads on the telly? Charlie Crist is running one, thanking all those who voted for him (and those who voted for someone else)...

Probably some leftover media that he had to use up. It was either that or keep running campaign ads which would be silly.

The numbers are inching up, almost literally. Biden leads now by about 14,800. It will be very significant if AZ stays Biden, because AZ+NV means we don't need PA or GA. AZ has a bullet-proof process that won't get second-guessed; no late arrivals of ballots, regardless of postmark, etc. Very unfriendly to those of us who voted by mail, but - now that it's over - less to find fault with. Also has a republican governor and legislature. It sure is a slow drip.

Well he might need a plan. The IRS may well be after him for back taxes, several lawsuits are likely to arrive, and he continues to have business troubles.
