Well you have commented on Kirsten and I agree.
Beto is in deep do do, misogyny was yesterdays news has got much more interesting today. https://www.dailywire.com/news/44759...-ryan-saavedra So Reuters sat on this story for 2 years, he has a very interesting early days and can not imagine he can now be a serious contender, well did not think he was anyway but this must kill it? I expect he will be withdrawing to spend more time with his family. The hacking thing will either matter to voters or it won't. I have no problem with getting everything out there on every candidate. Hopefully 2020 will be completely unlike what happened in 2016 with Trump hiding his tax returns and paying people off (porn stars) to hide his dirt in the last days before the election. |

Are you actually accusing him of something based on something he wrote when he was 15 years old? Let that sink in. Not anything he actually did but things that he wrote as a kid? You must find him terrifying if you're willing to turn that blade of grass into a tree.

Standards have been set, perhaps he should consider standing as a Republican, I do not see how he can stand as a Democrat. The obvious comparison with Trump is hiding this for 2 years, he knew it was out there and did a deal to hide it until after the election. Identical, no, similar absolutely. |

That will thin down the field significantly. No need to get more votes just make accusations. Where does that lead us. My recollection he was accused of a lot of other things. Will be interesting to see what Beto says about this, he would have known it was coming. |

You were obviously so distraught you couldn't type. Or is it that Tulsi Gabbard just doesn't frighten you the way that Beto does? Or maybe you just don't see a problem with what she said? Curious.
Beto strikes me as very light weight, no substance, scary, no.Trump is scary with some of the things he says. He would not be my choice for 2020, must be someone better. |

"Menn persuaded O’Rourke to talk on the record. In an interview in late 2017, O’Rourke acknowledged that he was a member of the group, on the understanding that the information would not be made public until after his Senate race against Ted Cruz in November 2018." |

Agreed, Beto's real problem is that he is a privileged rich white man in a party that hates white men.

https://www.politico.com/story/2018/...ws-rnc-1067875 It's going to be a real uphill battle for people like Bill Weld (and Kasich, if he runs) to compete. Which is amusingly ironic given Trump's criticisms of the DNC/Clinton in '16. |

As you’ve probably noticed, bashing straight white men, especially of the conservative kind, is very fashionable these days. You seemingly can’t escape it — you switch on cable TV, or "The View", read The Washington Post or The New York Times, and see liberal pundits verbally attack white men for this or that. And Democrats Have Made One Thing Very Clear About 2020: They’re Over White Men PS I am not white |

Picture tweeted by the Republican National Committee, no less, with the caption "On this St. Paddy's Day, a special message from noted Irishman Robert Francis O'Rourke". "Ethnic stereotypes are us" - today's Republican Party. |

I feel sorry for him in some respects, I was fairly boring in my youth but still did more that I would like to be published. But then he knows all this stuff would come up so why stand? The inevitability of this situation is the only people you end up with are the Trumps of this world, whose ego and bravado can ignore all this. |
Re: 2020 Election
So far all I have seen as a result of the odious twitter post is a backlash against the GOP from Irish Americans with accusations of racism.
I certainly won't be told by the GOP who to support, that's for sure. Anyone who is subscribed to their twitter feed has likely already made up their mind who they are supporting in 2020. The fact that they could even joke about a DUI, while support a President who is serially bankrupt, has admitted to sexually assaulting multiple women, has paid off porn stars, jilted his contractors and generally been free of consequences for anything he has done his entire life, is just plain stupid. The GOP however does not pay attention to candidates that it thinks aren't a threat, so apparently there's a perception of something there. |
