Wow. You went to great lengths just to get that particular trope off your chest.

I didn't see the post debate stuff, so I can't comment.

I don't know. I didn't think she looked particularly good and I don't always feel that way. The idea that he's somehow doing something sneaky or sleazy by having a fundraiser doesn't turn me against him. I like wine. I want to go to a wine cave now and I didn't even know it was a thing. There has to be a way to support working people without shaming the people in your party who have a little money (donors mainly because I don't think Buttigieg has any great personal wealth) to give. Bernie does it much better.

Glad you phrased it that way. This may include people who are wealthy, or who are rich, or (perish the thought) those who are merely millionaires.

I mean out of that whole exchange the real winner was Bernie as it fed into the point he has been making forever and he didn't even have to say anything. But it was some top trolling by his team with the peteswinecave.com t-shirts.

But the main point is that the 600 billionaires shouldn't have more influence than the other 330 million people in the country.

Of course any politician will claim that they say no to the donors, but every one know the donors aren't being altruistic when they spend this money. They expect a return on their investments.

If that were the case, why isn't every billionaire aggressively supporting Trump, who will naturally further their financial aims?

God forfend we ever accuse an innocent person of being rich just because they're a millionaire with multiple properties across the globe. I will cut the tongue out of any embellishing scoundrel!!!

Most of them are. It's not like they're going to admit it publicly though.

Your posts, such as the above, are beginning to look like trolling. Please stop.

So Diamond Joe says he would consider having a Republican as VP. Pete Buttigieg thinks that the Founding Fathers didn't know slavery was a bad thing. It's a crazy time as neither of these things will make any difference to their polling numbers.

Somewhere Howard Dean must be banging his head against the wall.

I think Biden has always been leading on 538 because they use a longer time frame than RCP and Biden had a large lead in both IA and NH until the last couple of months.

RCP has biden ahead overall at least in the last three of four polls posted:

I'm not a biden fan but I'm curious ... when do you think his serious demise will set in?

I'll be honest. Biden is more resilient than I thought he would be. He has consistently held a lead in the national polling. I'm not sure if this lead is because people aren't paying attention to the primary or they just don't care about the continual gaffes and foibles. It may be that Biden goes on and wins the nomination. Another possibility is that he doesn't win the first couple of contests in IA and NH (which is a good possibility based on polling there) and it brings into question his electability argument. Or as gets closer to the actual voting voters start paying more attention and start to see the negatives about Biden, especially if the impeachment trial is happening and his name is associated with it.

One thing to consider is that a large part of Bernie's support is from people who are younger and those that aren't regular voters. So his support could be undercounted in the polling, but it also depends if they can be persuaded to show up and vote. Bernie's organizing and grassroots support is second to none, but it will be for nothing if the voters don't show up.

I still think Biden has the best chance of winning with Bernie not too far behind. Anyone else seems unlikely at this point. But it could still change.
