You seem to be justifying the thuggish behavior of morons by blaming Trump which is self denial in the extreme

The reason you don't see violence at Dem rallies is because the cause of such violence is exclusively among the left, the pictures are pretty conclusive about that. Many of them are Sanders' supporters which the media have guilted him into apologizing for several times

I'm not justifying anything. I'm refuting assertions made on this very thread that the violence is somehow the fault of the "lefties". It seems that you and your cohorts are the ones doing the justifying. The (violent) protestors are human trash. I can see why they are attracted to the Trump rallies ... shit always attracts flies.

The reason you don't see Trump supporters protesting at the Dem rallies is they're too illiterate to find their way any further than to the Aryan brotherhood twitter feeds. The few that can actually read above the 2nd grade level are too strung out on oxycontin and meth to even try.

I know he'd nominate a conservative judge to the Supreme Court which would completely halt any further erosion of the constitution and put a stop to the federal government telling states what to do, neutral gender bathrooms being the latest of which. It should be up to those states if they want to make public bathrooms gender neutral, not liberals in Washington

The wall would happen - legislation was passed for it ages ago. Border control have just endorsed him, first time in their history. Just because it offends presumably white middle class immigrants like you, doesn't mean it's not a good idea

He'd scrap the Affordable Care Act and make insurance affordable again for those who aren't fortunate enough to be on a work related scheme, he'd increase competition by removing state lines for insurance providers

He'd attempt to build relations with historic enemies - Russia being one of them

He'd probably not take us into anymore illegal wars

Melania Trump would be the sexist first woman in history

Good grief what a sad and misguided soul you are. I almost feel sorry for you.

...

Just why, exactly, are there different restrictions on insurance plans per state? It's because different states have different rules, and the insurance companies can't offer the same plan in all states. If we had one set of identical rules for all states, then offering the same plans in all states would be a no-brainer.

The thing about the ACA that no republican seems willing to acknowledge is the fact that it enables flexibility in the workforce. In the past, older people like me were somewhat locked into 'group health plans' due to the fact that premiums outside of group plans for older folks were prohibitively expensive and/or full of exclusions. Due to the ACA, I was able to drop out of 'corporate America' and get an 'off the shelf' plan from an insurance company that was reasonably affordable - no exclusions or premiums due to pre-existing conditions. So now I've started my own business for the first time in my life, at age 57, and have predictable health insurance costs.

The problem is, most of the complainers are in fact covered by group health plans which remain largely unchanged under ACA, and they rely on the media for stories about how the ACA has affected the individual market. It's true the individual market did offer cheaper plans in the past; but those plans were full of restrictions, were only available to healthy people, and could be cancelled if you actually made a claim - so they were cheaper but useless.

So do you disagree that Clinton would do the things I suggest? I don't view this as a vote for 'Clinton'; I view this as a vote for someone (anyone) who will retain and improve the ACA; attempt to restrict gun sales; attempt to preserve a woman's right to choose; etc. Your answer suggests I am misguided in thinking Clinton would be more likely to do these things than Trump.

Your post reeks of smugness and pretty much sums up the liberal mindset

Look at this:

Videos Show Woman Hit With Eggs, Tomatoes at Trump Rally

But according to you the victims are so dumb they deserved it - anyone who supports Trump is a moron, after all, not like those studious Clinton and Sanders supporters who are just so clever

Where are the liberal feminists at, btw? A group of angry men ganging up and pelting a women with eggs - tad misogynistic if you ask me

How would she do any of that in a Republican controlled house?

Did you pull that stuff from her website or make it up?

Obama's tried and failed to control gun sales, how would she go further given her mandate would presumably be far smaller?

How would she do anything for women when the she apparently pays women who work for her less than men?

I honestly don't get the "Did you pull that stuff from her website or make it up?" comment; it seems like you believe Trump would do more for women's rights than Clinton, and would be more of an advocate for gun control than Clinton, which defies logic. I don't expect Clinton to make much progress on gun control, just as Obama was unable to make progress; but I'd prefer 'no progress' to a complete cave-in to the NRA. If the NRA get their way, teachers will be sitting in classrooms with guns.

You aren't going to change your mind, and I'm not going to change mine, when it comes to Trump/Clinton. The purpose of this thread is to discuss what we think will actually happen during the November election, DESPITE our own personal preferences. I am seriously concerned that Trump could win, despite my thinking that he would be the worst thing to happen to the US in a long time. Clinton's recent attack on Trump's foreign policy approach was the start of what I hope is a long string of 'policy' based discussions, which should in my opinion demonstrate that she is clearly a better candidate ... but only time will tell.

Gun ownership is a right of every law abiding citizen so not sure what you think Clinton is going to do on that score, no president can meddle with the constitution in that way. Amazes me why anyone with a pathological dislike of guns would choose to move to America

Clinton has said and done nothing to suggest she's the better candidate - her speech the other day was supposed to be about her own agenda on foreign affairs, instead she spent it slinging mud at Trump which shows just how much she's rattled by him
