But the context...or really - the interviewer framing the context made all the difference for me.

As this election has gone on, my opinions have hardened:

On the Republican side we've got a fascist clown and a fundamentalist wingnut. Also, both are very closely aligned to Democrats on all fiscal matters and subscribe to the dead end politics of the zero sum game, scapegoating and jealousy.

On the Democrat side, we've got one slippery candidate who likely should be on trial for treason. The other seems like an honest guy but in any other year would be an unelectable fringe candidate who proudly professes to believe in ideologies that 150 years of death and destruction have roundly disproven.

Meanwhile my taxes keep going up, billions are wasted daily on political cronyism, terrorism is on a rampage world wide, the job market still sucks and the country's infrastructure is approaching third world levels. Seriously, **** this place.

You'd love living in England then. More sensationalist tosh than anyone should be allowed to believe in. But seriously, though, the US elections have elevated the sensationalist bullshit levels to an entirely new class. You might be better off where you are.

Even if he were right, it's not changed since last week. Some major shit happened but the city itself hasn't changed any so it's a ridiculous thing to say. Unless he thinks stuff like this last week should only happen to ugly cities??????
