Would it also be "entirely appropriate" for a right wing guy to show up at a Sanders rally wearing a Joe Stalin mask and screaming that Sanders is a Commie?" Just asking. |

Though this may have been deliberately provoking and certainly falling under the 'yelling fire in a crowded theater' provision of freedom of speech, nobody deserves to get hit for anything. We're surely a little more evolved than that aren't we? Even if it was actually a Trump supporter and not a 'leftist plant' as you think, celebrating this kind of a response is pretty classless whatever way you look at it.

That wouldn't be anywhere near as provoking as dressing up as a KKK member, so it's not in the same league. Also, how's he going to compete for attention with girls getting their tits out anyway?

But of course, when a Republican assaults someone, it's A-OK. |

I'm sure that you'd freak out and squeal about "left-wing fascism" (sic) if a progressive in the crowd punched him.
But of course, when a Republican assaults someone, it's A-OK. It would be hard to imagine TEA Party people mimicking the tactics of the Left. But if id did happen as you describe, I would understand it and not call it an action of left-wing totalitarian-wannabees. Maybe you'd like that term better, so I'll use it in the future. |

It's much easier to caricature and lampoon a negative point of view than a positive one, and that's what today's GOP and particularly Trump is presenting. NOTE - I am not saying that one can't hold conservative or right-wing positions and not present them positively, but that simply isn't being done by the mainstream GOP during this campaign. I also have a hard time believing that you support the tea party anyway, based on our conversations in other threads. |

Thanks for the heads up. You just killed any faint chance that I might go to one if he should come to Pennsylvania. You mean girls at his rallies don't do what the Sanders girls do? That is so disappointing.:( But maybe Sanders will come here, so there is hope. And no, I don't intend to show up in a Joe Stalin mask. Now if I showed up dressed as Che, or with Ortega-style sunglasses, or a Mao shirt, I might get surrounded by his girls doing their thing.:fingerscrossed:
If you want to kill yourself, but aren't quite ready yet and need to find the one thing that will push you over the edge to do it, go see Trump. |

You obviously didn't attend last month's meeting, when all of us on The Leftâ„¢ voted unanimously to use this approach.
I probably would have gone along with the vote, anyway, thinking it was the best way to stop Trump (my guy not being Trump); and besides, if any heads were broken it wouldn't have been mine, but earnest young - and expendable - members of The Leftâ„¢. |
