At the cost of private ones which happen to do a good job, private charter schools an example of this which he is against. His policy on free public college tuition would close all the private colleges over night, many of which are African American

I don't agree with his "free" tuition plan (largely because the biggest beneficiary will be the economic segments that don't need it to be free), but he is totally correct that the current burden of student debt is insane, as is the fact that many are stuck paying ridiculously high interest rates on it. Really, it's hard to argue that the current situation for the payment of tertiary education is doing anything but a lousy job.

It's all conservative talking points, so probably breitbart, Drudge Report, Fox News. They like to report conjecture and the opinions of one person who agree with them as news.

Make public colleges free of charge, why would anyone pay fees to go to private ones, especially minorities? How could private colleges possibly compete with colleges in the same town that are free of charge?
It's not rocket science and is one of several established arguments against Sanders' proposals. There are others on pretty much everything he proposes, his economic model has been picked apart and doesn't add up but people like you are fingers in their ears to it all

In much the same way leftists and general anti Republican types get their opinions from Rachel Maddow and The Daily Show you mean

In any case, there won't be many who decide to bail out of Hah-vard because the University of Wisconsin at Podunk is providing free classes.
There was a time when public colleges were free, and yet all of those private universities managed to do just fine.
Sanders' plan isn't particularly good, but not for the nonsensical reasons that you are providing. (Then again, your crazy feces handle would suggest that you don't mean it, either.)

Even more serious is the total uselessness of many of the degrees, including most of the liberal arts degrees. That's why your local Starbucks barrista is likely to hold a college degree. As a result, many are forced, with the assistance of further student loans, to seek quaternary education for a law degree, MBA, medical degree or a masters or PhD in one of the sciences.
To advocate for the Devil himself, if the government were to immediately forgive all student loans, most of which are now financed or insured through the federal government, it would unlock an enormous surge in buying power with the young being able to afford new homes, cars and so forth.
Ending the heroin of easy student loans for their victims - the students - would force colleges and universities to kick the habit of raising their tuition, building fancy new buildings and ending the practice of allowing tenured professors to actually teach only a few hours a week, while the students are mostly taught by the non-tenured, graduate students and ad hoc lecturers.
