I was just countering your inference that because you didn't think that, it wasn't true.

These are quotes from right-wing pundits who invariably get everything wrong.

Because left wing pundits are always right...

Here's another right wing pundit getting it wrong...

There was no such inference; I was merely posting about my own decision making process in '08 and the way I feel about '16.

Really, I think you are being a little too defensive about this. Sanders has a lot of qualities, but the (unfortunate) fact is that he's at a place on the political spectrum that really does make it harder (not impossible) for him to get elected.

Obama benefited from having an excellent ground game, coupled with the fact that the Republicans were in charge when the economy achieved meltdown.

In any case, Sanders has low to no odds of being the nominee, so this is just an academic exercise at best. And even though Clinton is not an ideal candidate, the electoral map suggests that it would be very difficult (although not impossible) for her to lose the general election.
People won't be voting for a "socialist", they'll be voting for Bernie Sanders. Honesty and trustworthiness is important as well, but the voters don't think Hillary Clinton can lie straight in bed.

Sir Axe's point was that he didn't think Obama was unelectable. ("It never occurred to me that Obama was more (or less) unelectable than Clinton.")

My point was that the Democratic establishment began to pull for Obama. I never claimed (and would not think of claiming) that Bill Clinton didn't make statements in an effort to help his wife.

Well, they won't be voting for Bernie Sanders because he won't be the nominee.

But if he was the nominee, then you're damn right that he would be Commie Bernie who liked the Soviet Union and who will raise your taxes. His image will not remain intact when much money is spent to get that message across.

Fat boy Chris Christie needs to cut down on the sugar intake. How can he endorse Donald Trump as the best person to beat Hilary? Screwy !

Seems to go against the collective wisdom.

When 2 world-class wheeler-dealers spot a rainbow with possibility of a pot of booty at either end, one for each dealer - it all becomes easy, sleazy, carpe deum......

Plus - timing's perfect for Christie :

1. His 2nd gubernatorial term ends in 2017.
Noo Joisey doesn't permit 3rd consecutive term.
And so......

2. The tantalizing prospect of sinking his posterior into the cosy cushion of the Attorney General's Cabinet seat must be irresistible (ie utterly endorsement worthy)

And for Trump - hey, it's just another "deal" - like every other event in his excuse for a life. A deal that cinches an endorsement, that generates a nooooze story, twitter fodder, cnn bloviator blah-blah etc. and...hey, what the hell....Cabinet, shabinet - he never listens to advisers anyway - so what's it matter in the end?

Pots of gold and rainbows.
Now I'm not saying this is what went down....but can any of us say it didn't ......

Purely judging by the debate performances, most of the Republican candidates, particularly that clown, would just cause mass chaos in the U.S and around the world; they sound like a bunch of radicalized hatemongers, war crazy brutes, and utter chaotic with no sense of the changing world dynamics and economy. I wouldn't let my tax dollars to be wasted by such fools. I'll rather have the lesser of two evils, and let the democrats abuse my hard earned cash and sovereignty! Just my thoughts

Nobody ever said Rubio's backers are racists. Sigh.

Although, I would have to say (and I think you said it too), I'd rather have Trump than Cruz. But beyond that, I want whoever is most likely to lose to Hillary. Whether that is Rubio or Trump I can't honestly say. I think Rubio's lack of experience would mean he would be trounced by Hillary, and I fear that Trump could be a formidable opponent, simply due to his utter disregard for any standards of behavior.
My comment was not directed at you, or anybody here, specifically. However, anytime that I see Trump trying to pivot back to the middle, I'm going to bring up every single racist ploy that he has ever used. Every. Single. Time.

Trump has tapped into the white, low information, poorly educated (Trump's words, not mine), underemployed, working poor, demographic. Instead of blaming the educational system in the US --- these people simply are not employable in well paying jobs anymore --- yet Trump is blaming minorities. It's a lot easier to blame the brown ones (who also can't get well paying jobs, btw) than to tell these people they need to get up off their lazy asses and get the proper education and technical skills they need to get ahead. Oh, and by the way, it's going to be difficult, you're going to have to crack some books and embrace STEM. It's much easier to blame the Mexicans and Muslims.

The reason Trump is playing nice with Planned Parenthood is because that is where the poor white women go for their birth control, cancer screenings, and their ABORTIONS. Yes, poor white women get ABORTIONS at Planned Parenthood just like the brown ones do.

Kasich voters come out of this the best.
(30% of Carsons vote, did not approve of Lincolns decision?)
