I think that you need to get it out of your head that a group of people who represents perhaps 10% of the population are the guardians of "representing the people." This is the sort of rhetoric that the Tea Party spouts.

So what is Hillary going to do that is different to either Obama or Sanders to effect the changes she proposes?

If Sanders actually tried to do what he claims, he would end up losing a lot of Dems, not just Republicans.

It helps to remember that Sanders isn't really a Democrat. The establishment is not going to want to hand the keys to a party outsider. He may have set up himself for a VP slot, but barring some bizarre outcome, he will not get the nomination.

Some of the pundits are saying Jeb's campaign is now all but over. Sounds like he has managed zero traction since the last debate.

Think we will see him throw the towel in on Sunday?

10%? I'm curious where you came up with that figure. I suspect you pulled it out of your arse. It's interesting because if you actually ask people if they like the things that Sanders is proposing it turns out that for the most part a majority do.

Also, as time goes on, there is going to be growing support.

So rather than silly Tea Party comparisons, why don't you actually consider the facts.

As for Sanders getting the VP slot, that doesn't really make sense. If the establishment aren't going to let Sanders get the nomination, why would they let him be a heartbeat away from the Presidency?

But not by as a big a margin as she would have hoped.

With the 'super delegates' in play too, at what point does the primary slip out of Bernie's reach?

Not a huge victory for Clinton...but a win none the less. Looks like Trump is cleaning up in SC.

Clinton vs Trump...would be interesting.

IMO the whole US election process is like a circus vs UK general elections I am used to. I could cry over the money they waste (IMO) on this circus. If only it was spent on the needy. In this respect Trump is a winner...he's spent a fraction of what the others have spent.

To be fair and balanced...I almost dislike Cruz as much as I do Clinton.

Jeb Bush is bowing out of the race now.

Never would have thought Trump would still be in the race, let alone being one of the front runners, getting a bit concerned he may pull this stunt off....

I do think this whole process is a waste of money, and they really should cap the donations to 5,000 from individuals and remove corporate donation altogether.

If it didn't cost so much to run, we might actually get some decent candidates, but politicians make the laws and they like the money.

Driving home tonight listening to NPR, a member of Jeb's campaign staff categorically refuted the proposition that Jeb might be bowing out, and staff looking to move on etc. She was unequivocal.

Not two minutes later, phone flashed up with the news that Jeb was throwing the towel in.

I agree J. IMO they should cap the amount spent on campaigning.

I think Trump is popular because no matter how off the wall his comments are...they are what the man on the street is thinking. He may be a billionaire but people relate to him. I remember reading a description of Bush vs Kerry...Bush came across as the guy who lived above the gas station...Kerry came across the guy who owned it.

Edit: One thing I absolutely detest is the way Crux and Rubio bring religion into the race. For me that is an absolute turn off.
