They are pretty distinct from crickets, at least anytime I have been to Palm Springs and heard them.
Cicadas make their noise during the day, Crickets are what you hear at night. "People sometimes describe night-calling insects as cicadas. But typically, cicadas call during the day, and what we're hearing at night are crickets and katydids." |

They won't affect me in the least. All I have to do is turn off the hearing aid and I won't hear a sound. :nod:
