Default The £/$ fall to 1.33 in the wake of the referendum.

If you headed back to the UK any time soon and want a few £££'s to spend now might be the time to get them.

One of my pensions is due to be paid today, and is now worth $170 less than it would have been at the peak, yesterday

We're visiting the UK next month. Time to buy the pounds needed. While the rate may actually still get better, today's rate is not at all bad.

Nobody should be giving him credit for the circlejerk Flange started.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to the British people living around Europe, and how that may affect unemployment in the UK if they return.

This is a really stupid question, but do US banks stock foreign currency? I haven't bought any here in years, I just use my card in the UK at the cashpoints. I'm going next month too.

Yes now that the Brits have decided to trash their economy now is definitely the time for an American to go to Britain

I may have my sister hold off. She was talking about beginning of July when she gets her mortgage sorted out to buy my half of the house off me. If it's around the $1.30s then, I'd be inclined to just have her wire it though. It's still marginally favourable for me.

Sounds like a terrible thing to be upset over, I know.

It isn't terrible. You and I are the "ordinary people" that the Leave ranters kept going on and on about "protecting against the elites". We don't have a lot of money, we need to provide for our families and our futures, and this shit isn't helping one bit.

Even at 1:1 we'd still get enough from the sale to clear all our non-mortgage/car payment debt and have some left over for savings.

But **** me for wanting to have a little of my inheritance to myself to be frivolous with, I suppose
