Default Newbie From dorset UK in Bangkok

Hi everybody Im the latest englishman to leave the uk for a while. Im ex army royal signals, 70-95 then engineer and training manager in highways, now retired and avaialble for english tuition, not single but attached to my girlfriend from bang krau, bangkok. Anyone is welcome to get in touch, and yes it really was -16C in UK and still -2C when I left Ukl in january

I don't think it's as easy to teach at schools in Thailand these days, but I'm sure you'll do fine with private tuition. Just make sure you have the correct visa/permit in place

I've just PMed you seeing how we live so close to each other. I would suggest if you are looking for a bit of part time work teaching to go round some of the language schools. There are some in Tha Mall near where you live on the top floor I think. I'm sure if you stay in one place long enough people will come and find you. Start at 400 an hour and try to get people to pay up front for a few lessons if you can.

Wouldn't worry about work permit for a bit of private tuition at home. No way you are going to get done for that.

What kind of visa are you on Nigel ?
