Default Moving to Thailand with Twins

I would like to move to Thailand with my twin girls next November. Have travelled to Thailand a number of times, mainly to Bangkok and Krabi, Phi Phi on business but would now like to move/rent/buy in or near Bankok. Have been told Hua Hin is good. Has anybody any suggestions.

Also what do I have to do as foreigner to be able to buy and stay in Thailand for longer than a year. I have heard that in order to live there you need buy a permanant visa for £20k. Don't want to do this

Cheers

Have you looked at the Thai government's website about permanent residency? There may be information there. If not, perhaps you should call the Thai Embassy in the country where you reside.

Its not easy to get a years visa. You can a Non immagrant O or B. But after a year you may have to leave but if you have got money in the bank then you should be ok. There is loads of info on visa here,
http://thaivisa.com/
There is alot of info. May be worth while joining for free and putting a post in the visa section. There is many more informed people on there who can help you better. 20K pounds. Thats a bit steep. I believe this info to be wrong. But do do as i said.
