I got the email today about the new visa with a Jan 2010 start date as originally planned. Hope everyone got the same email. Thanks to all who have been supportive while this has been on hold.

Hi, we have been here on the scheme for 2 years and one of the few Primary teachers(They concentrated on Secondary).
So if anyone needs any info on Primary teaching just pm me. A lovely lady at DET is busy doing our PR. Woohoo:thumbsup: Gems |

Congrats to all those who have also received the good news. We too are off as planned in Jan. Thanks to those who have been supportive and positive over the last few months ... and a big fat :thumbdown: to those few who have been rather negative about primary sponsorship. You know who you are :p

i reckon they will start it up again, i think the june intake is going quite smoothly which is why they have opened it up for the jan 10 cohort. there is still a shortage of teachers in WA so why not run a successful scheme once more?
i am obviously not putting myslef forward as any sort of DET spokesperson, (before some bored person leaves a comment implying that i am trying to be one):thumbdown: this new visa looks great and i think it suits DET just as much as it suits the teachers going out on it!!! win win all roung i think :thumbsup::thumbsup: |
