Hi Im Mark,
My wife and I are both 33 (and our three kids 6 , 4 and 2) are desperate to move lock stock and barrel to aus and have researched a little about where and what we would like to do.

Little bit of background info. Im a Secondary school teacher (assistant headteacher, B.Ed (hons) in physical education, but have spent a lot of time teaching ICT and vocational subjcets over the past two years., as well as being a pastoral head of year. I am now at the stage of my career that im not too fussed about what i teach or what position i go in at i just really want to get to aus. I 'd probs do any job as long as we can afford to live. But ideally a pastoral job within school would be wonderfull.

My wife works part time (14 hours +) as a sonographer / radiographer at the local district hospital. As well as caring for the little ones fantastically.

We would like to move between Sydney and Cairns with Coffs harbour being ou Dream destination.
Really im looking for anyone in either of our fields of work who can chat to us through msn or on here about the process and prospects work wise over in the promised land. We aim to start the whole proces in about 6 months so really we are now at the final sort of research stage before we move forward again.

About to start the process ourselves so happy to compere notes.

In brief are looking at a 176 visa - state sponsored - and doing skills, state sponsorship, visa, college/institute of teaching reg in that order.
