Quickest QCT Registration processing time?
Please tell me everyone wasn't waiting as long as Jen.....Still waiting on my UK Police clearance......They've sent it back once to say my signatures didn't match
Any one have any good news on this? Also, I've had an interview with Smart, they have told me if the find me a contract they may be able to speed up the registration? I'm a little skeptical about this as I've read some poor reviews about them on here.....could this actually happen?

112 DAYS!!! And that was with constant pestering...ARGHHHHH
I did hear though, if you're offered a contract more than 6 weeks (or thereabouts) you can have your rego sped up quite significantly. It's a vicious circle though, as schools won't offer you a contract without rego generally!!! ARGHHHH AGAINNNNN

Mine came back in about a fortnight from memory...but i'm a queenslander, queensland trained & it'd expired so i am teasing you a bit!! Altho they were making me apply from scratch, uk police checks included & i know they wouldn't lift the application out of their in tray until the police checks were attached-don't s'pose you can speed that up? I've heard having a job offer helps but school need to contact QCT to ask for speedier processing. Good luck, it can be excrutiating!!

Re smart, i felt that my situation was simply too complicated for their tiny minds but if your CV is more 'normal' & they find work for you then go for it! Some of the other uk based recruiters have jobs for australia so you could try them too (google as there are multitudes...)
