Have not got a clue on visa types.
However we considered Canada, until our research on various teaching forums led us to find out that its very difficult to get a teaching job in Canada.

yeh we researched the forums as well. we found many mnay obstacles in the way of teaching in canada.
obviously i would champion going to australia as i am doing it myself, aus offers so so much help when getting a teaching job, canada offered absolutely no help and a lot of extra grief. up to five years wait time compared to 1 year at the most? is their really a choice?

Main problem is at the moment you are not likely to get PR at all without a job offer but most provinces won't give you certification without you being a PR.
There are no shortage of teachers in major cities. It is heavily unionised with seniority being everything.

I've been looking into this for a while now, its very tricky! i was wondering about going on a working holdiay visa from bunac, getting job as an ece or tefl teacher, and applying for PR while i am there. does anyone know if this is possible?
