Default BCCT certification - canadian studies

Hi all, been a while since i posted but I hope someone can give me some advice! Im in Canada working work permit and waiting for PR. Just applied for my BCCT certification so I can teach in elementary schools. Have been told they are still processing my application but that I will probably need to take some extra credits in Canadian studies. The evaluator I spoke to didnt seem very worried and said I would probably be able to do this over the summer. does anyone have any experience of this? I have a 3 year degree and a 1-year PGDE in education from Scotland, plus 3 years experience. Has anyone else gained their certificate with similar quals? What did you have to do?
Thanks
Charlotte
