WTF Murders/Killings in the US

As random killings in the US are spread over a few threads...I thought it would be best to put them in one thread.

Two men killed, one woman shot while shopping in Walmart, Denver.

Blimey!

That's the 2nd time you've beaten Boiler to the draw.

Oh, hang on. This one's different isn't it?

I know it's not really funny, but there's something about having a special thread devoted to US killing sprees, sorry expressions of freedom, that appeals to my dark sense of humour.

No terrorism involved, thank god. Just one of those inexplicable things - act of God, I guess.

Over 50 violent deaths in the US in the last 48 hours excluding the New York victims.
Source Gun Violence Archive. Not one was terrorist related.

If JG is trying to set a record for the longest thread, she has picked a good topic!

Apparently, when someone dies, they don't become a angel. Who knew

If this fact were more widely known, Facebook would almost disappear.

There were very good people on both sides of the murders.

This isn't a murder but video too disturbing to put in the Trailer Park WTF and definitely not worthy of its own thread. Woman and her teenage daughter are viciously attacked over an order of fried chicken. Scroll down and you can see what they looked like after the beat down:

No competition with Boiler. There was a time not too long ago tumbleweeds were rolling around TIO. I’m trying to keep TIO lively.

The woman who was shot has also died, and the shooter has been caught. He is 47, has a minimal criminal record and motive isn't known yet.

He was a deranged person, with easy access to guns.

Is this the thread for self inflicted stuff when the victim is too young to know better?

This article gives some perspective on the current situation in Florida. It's a few months out of date but I doubt if anything has changed.

If you didn't have a sense of humor about it, it would drive you nuts. We have posters on here who talk about it as not problematic, because the murdered are not our sort and you can drive around the dangerous neighbourhoods. I'd rather hear jokes about it than dismissal and acceptance as a minor inconvenience.
