To restate, one should NOT be seen as a substitute for the other.

Differences in taste abound, but this is not about saying 'My vegemite is bigger than your Marmite'

Looks like we'd have to rename it 'Nutellamite' first in order to get it through the 'cabinet'. But yes, I'd vote.

Yup. And again those that open them from the top.

Don't boil them, crack'em and scramble them. Adding Tabasco, Worcester, cheese, onion, mustard, whatever floats your boat.

Yum!

I deliberately avoided using the 'M' word until the kids settle.

But guess what I've just done....

Listening to the radio this morning, DJ said '6:30 am in the morning' , that's in the same ball park as PIN number and is unforgivable. Also yesterday I got an email from one of our manufacturers in reply to my earlier email where I thanked him for some information 'your welcome' was his reply. **** the world.

The "AM in the morning" thing hurts me. If anyone says it to me I have to work really hard to stop myself saying "as opposed to the AM in the evening?". I don't always succeed.

You should have replied "My welcome what?".

I swear they do it specifically to wind me up, it's when a person holds a high level of respect from you as a professional, you put them on a pedestal and then THEY do it, it's like my world crumbles. Perhaps I should lighten up.

I would dearly have loved to haha, must be professional, must be professional.

Do they still do that "almost exactly 6.00" whether am or pm? Why can't it be exactly 5.58 or just 5.58. Or even almost 6.00? Why almost exactly 6.00?

When you buy several items of grocery and it comes to bang on, or exactly, $20 then that's something to remark upon. But if it comes to $19.96 the cashier doesn't say almost exactly $20.

Almost exactly is bad enough ....... but the use of "almost unique" seems to be increasing.
