Forcing a woman to have something placed inside her against her will is nothing short of sexual assault/rape.
It is her decision to terminate her pregnancy and hers alone, and as Leslie said earlier, no reason at all to insist on the probing procedure. It is somewhat worrying that this law could even be considered.
We as women get to chose who does what 'down there' and no way on gods earth should it be some wankered tit wanked politician, or anyone else for that matter.

The Virginia law in the current form (ie the woman still has to have an unnecessary medical procedure, they just won't be committing sexual assault by penetrating her vagina against her will) has been the way it's done in Texas for ages. In 2011 state sanctioned rape was enacted in Texas.
There are some other humiliating and unnecessary requirements outlined here:

one thing I've always wondered is why a miscarriage in medical jargon, is called a "missed abortion"..............
OK, I'll shut up now.

Technically speaking a miscarriage is an abortion, isn't it? Just a naturally occurring one.

Mile, moccasins, etc............

A "missed abortion" is when the fetus has died but failed to miscarry. In other words, it dies naturally in the womb but the body fails to expulse it naturally.

Why doesn't somebody just point out to all these "holier-than-thou" adulterers and pervs, how much extra they're going to have to fork out in child support, for all their illegitimate kids - that should put the brakes on the legislation.

They're not worried about it. They're all closeted gays who wouldn't touch a woman with yours.
