UK General Election

Brexit means Brexit. It's completely unsabotageable and you voted for it. Enjoy.

This was a General Election, admittedly the Green Party went on a fair bit about remoaning. Lib Dems made a few comments.
SNP were the biggest party talking about wanting to stay in, look what happened to them.

And against the grain of pretty much all the press, as well and that's a real achievement. They've really gone over the top on this and it's backfired. Just imagine what could be achieved if we had balanced and informative print news reporting in the UK but at least it's been shown that it's possible to overcome. That gives a breathing space and a chance to progressive politics.
Mustn't forget the sacrifices made by the Greens either.
One huge rousing cheer for LOONY LEFTIES

BTW there's something in the Tory manifesto about doing away with 5 year fixed term parliaments but nothing on what's in mind as a replacement.
Even though a minority Govt is a bad option, I would have preferred Labour to prove themselves this time round. It will be too easy for Corbyn in opposition.

Firstly, congratulations to Labour for running a far more effective and (importantly) nimble campaign. TM was atrocious.

All the parties opposed to the SNP fought on a unionist ticket.
All of the 3 main parties including the pro remain Libs took seats from the SNP.

Yup. We lost a fair amount of votes this election, but it was for a good cause.
It definitely makes a change from Tory-lite, blue-Labour.
And in other news, this month's UKIP leader Paul Nuttall has resigned.
Leave won, but I think the Tories lost seats because Theresa May was all me, me, me.

Won't siding with the Unionists escalate the issues in NI?

This:
"One million 18- to 34-year-olds have registered to vote since the election was called."
And this.

I hope we get some durable political engagement now.

ooh.. DUP great.
No need to leave Texas anymore. Homophobic, anti-abortion and climate changer deniers now having influence in the UK government. Home from home really.
