I personally feel there is too much easy use of the word 'radicalised'. Many may simply have liked & were drawn to the idea of the Caliphate and all it stood for. After all there were no hidden secret surprises about it really. World news and ISIS themselves ensured everyone knew what they were about .
Maybe it was a red bus with a big lie on the side. :hysterical: |

That's an interesting point. The thing is, though, if you're already Muslim I can't (politely) think of a better word than radicalisation. Losing one's marbles? Going nuts? I mean you can't just watch the news and think yes, that's a good idea. We need to kill non believers and believers too until we get our way. There has to be some form of persuasion and brainwashing or radicalisation would seem the most appropriate descriptors.

Our country is responsible for her. The inconvenient truth is she's right.
However, I'm also more than happy to see she doesn't benefit from anything the UK has to offer. Whether that be the inside of a prison cell, freedom or whatever. |

If she was radicalised in the U.K. may be one should have a closer look at her family, school etc. You can't hold a country responsible if her family? are at fault or her teachers. Look at the local mosque where she perhaps used to pray. Don't hold a whole country responsible.

Weirdly, I sort of agree with you (and this lady you reference). There is some responsibility there.

Speaking of the atmosphere at home, this can't be helpful in any way.

Seems reasonable. Or maybe the retirement cards - "WOW - Forty years on the job and you never joined ISIS!" |
