I did a copy/paste of posts from a thread in the lounge where it had been requested that politics be kept out of it but posters clearly wanted to discuss the related politics. These posts were a mere sample of the political comments made by people who did want to discuss an issue but felt constrained by the request originally made.

It provided a thread for that conversation to continue.

The posts I pasted link to that thread so one can see the context.
