Ricky Gervais Called ‘Transphobe’ For Defending Women Refusing To Wax Trans Woman's bits

This may be the social justice issue of our time,
More on the story here: https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/0...g-controversy/
This is the case of Jessica Yaniv, born Jonathan Yaniv, who has filed complaints against more than a dozen female waxers with the Human Rights Council (HRC) in British Columbia. Yaniv claims that the women’s refusal to give him a Brazilian – that is, to handle his thingy and thingys and to remove his pubic hair, activities these women did not want to carry out – is discrimination. Yaniv says that self-identifying as a woman is sufficient to be treated as a woman and to get access to services typically reserved for women.

It's all complete nonsense of course. If you're not trained in back, crack and sack there's no way you should ever do it. Love Ricky.

Begs the question where you get such training?
There is money involved btw, damages for discrimination. Now admittedly I do not know what the process is to be trained in waxing but makes me wonder if those who do train are at risk if they discriminate by not including all scenarios?

I know plenty of blokes who get this done (especially in sweaty Singapore) but I agree it's a therapist's right to refuse - IF they don't offer that service generally.
I do however take issue with the writer of the article demeaning a trans woman by insisting on referring to her as him or he. If she identifies as a woman, she is a woman, and not a "woman", and she should not be deadnamed either.

So if they offer a service to women they must offer the service to men?

No, what I'm saying is that if they offer a Back, Sack & Crack service, they should not refuse her. If they don't offer it, they should be able to refuse.
eta: As MP says, it's a very different service!

Forgive my ignorance but women don't have "sacks" do they? And if the person has a dick and balls it's a man.

Kooky said if the service is offered. If it is offered, the employee should be trained and well aware of what she/he is expected to do.

It's been a pretty controversial topic here in BC this week.
