Seattle is no different to most major cities in the US. A testament to how well our Capitalist society treats it's underclases.
I guess one could move to Monaco, no homeless there I hear.

Bullies will be bullies.

"U.S. President Donald Trump’s phone calls with world leaders, including Canada’s Justin Trudeau, are so chaotic and abusive that some of his own top advisers consider him a threat to U.S. national security."

To be fair, the US probably needs it more than most having left the gate open like that.

The last paragraph in that article is laughable, Trump couldn't negotiate his way out of a paper bag, let alone be considered a dab hand at the art.

"The EMA endorsement means physicians can prescribe the Gilead drug in Europe once the European Commission, the EU executive, gives its approval, which is now a formality expected over the coming week." (article is dated june 25).

I can imagine negotiations on supply are somewhat dependent on commitments to buy. If you haven't even given approval yet, does it make sense to commit inventory?

Just for shits and giggles I would now announce that recent results show that Remdesivir has not been shown to help with Covid 19 so is no longer being considered as a viable option. Also no refunds on unused stock.

History. Probably the most underrated subject taught in schools. It helps explain all sorts of things.
Take the most recent example of Trump's inability to do the job, this apparent ignorance of intelligence reports that Russia has offered bounties to the Taleban to kill US soldiers.
Like many, I've watched TV reports stating how outraged the US is wth this, but there is history here.
Unlike Trump, Putin has a memory. He was in the KGB in 1979 when the USSR invaded Afghanistan in order to prop up the communist government of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan against a growing insurgency and no doubt remembers the extent to which the US went to arm the insurgents with inevitable results.
What surprises me is that Putin has taken so long to return the compliment.
But reference to this aspect of Afghan history in the media is there none.
