I'm not surprised you're not sure. You don't seem to be sure of much. However, it is the real world of facts and numbers that says they don't pay taxes.

Yes Warren has said that, and so has Bernie. Because that is again what the actual facts and numbers indicate. Which is what you of course describe as "bullshit".

I wouldn't put Warren in the same category as Biden or Clinton. There is a sliding scale of awfulness with Bernie being the least worst and Warren being some where between Bernie and the rest of the clowns.

I also see that King Canute Bloomberg sticking his oar in again and saying he might consider running if Warren looks likely to be the nominee. He's not very subtle is he.

koop has been drinking the Faux News kool aid. But I do think "Medicaid for all" needs explaining better. And also they need to be more aggressive pointing out that Trump is actually trying to destroy access to healthcare.

I'd have her over Biden or Copmala any day, of course, but I can't shake the feeling that she's just paying lip service to democratic socialists and when the chips are down, she's just going to roll over and play dead for the corporations the same as just about any other Democrat in the race other than Bernie. All subjective of course, but I stand by my own feelings.

I don't disagree. But it doesn't help that all the media seems to care about is getting their "taxes will go up under M4A" soundbite.

Wouldn't M4A essentially just involve replacing our existing and aruguably exploitative private insurance premiums with a flat tax rate that would likely be less and free up more of our actual paychecks for us to use on frivolities such as food and the like?

Can't speak for everyone else, but given I work for someone who hasn't given me a raise in a while, each time open enrollment comes around, our premiums inevitably go up and I get a yearly pay decrease. If someone comes to me and unironically and realistically offers me M4A, I'll vote for them until my dying breath leaves my body.

I get that. I am very wary of her as well. I will say that she does have a record of actually fighting for the working class with regards to bankruptcy and the CFPB.

If it's a choice between her or Trump, it's not even a consideration obviously. For now, we're concerned with the primaries and it's Bernie or GTFO for me all the way there.

America supposedly the richest country in the world, finds universal healthcare too expensive. Yet virtually every other modern economy has some form of universal healthcare, something doesn't add up.
Maybe the fact that most of that money is in the hands of a relatively few people has something to do with it. They have all that money but don't want to part with much if any of it. In fact several billions of dollars is not enough the need more in the way of tax cuts.
Who's to blame for all this, I've heard said here that it's the liberals, city Mayors and the homeless and whining poor people on min wage.

I'd happily settle for Mark Sanford instead of Trump. How did that old phrase go? Anyone but...

If you're going down that rabbit hole, Bill Weld is my guy. I quite like him though not in a presidential way. I guess if it was between Weld and the psychic lady, or Trump, I'd vote for Weld.

You've got taxing the rich so far up your ass you're not even capable of seeing the consequences. To fund a Medicare for All program to cover around 325 million people and that's the number it would be would cost far more than taxing the rich to the hilt. Name any country with a government run national health plan that is financed by that country's wealthy. Warren has been asked on numerous occasions in front of media news cameras as to how the costs of such a program would be paid for and each time she has avoided the question completely and so did OAC several months ago. It wont happen however as ramming a program down everyone's throat doesn't work here. This is not Canada with a population that was around that of California. Believe it or not there are many Americans who are happy with their health plans.. Working on the ACA and ironing out the problems was the best solution. Sanders and Warren are just coming across with electioneering bullshit because they have nothing else to offer in the current situation where the economy is strong, jobs are plentiful and unemployment low. Any idiot can stand on a platform and promise a health plan that wont increase taxes except on the rich or free college education for all students and there are always the lemmings who will buy it. So there you have it Lemming

You seem to be out of touch with reality, If you're talking universal healthcare for a population of around 325 million don't talk billions.. talk 2-4 trillion
