To clarify, and for accuracy, Mr Kipling are British owned and manufactured. Cadburys are part of Mondelez International, so no longer British but Cadbury Cakes are manufactured under license by Premier Foods, which is a British company (which also owns Mr Kipling it seems - https://www.premierfoods.co.uk/About-Us/OurBrands.aspx)

Who are apparently owned by investors Oasis Management Company Limited (headquarterd in the Cayman Islands) and Paulson & Co, Inc (an American investment company)....

Who knows who are the actual people are investing their money after all?

I missed that - thanks DLD.

I guess the bit that counts is that they manufacture in the UK, and provide jobs for British workers. Also, and probably most important, being manufactured in the UK should mean there are no issues keeping them on shop shelves (assuming no raws get stuck in customs checks )

No worries... I've been researching the same thing about another company.... It's amazing how many British companies are at least partly-controlled by non-UK investment companies....

Well apparently, Tate & Lyle did well out of the negotiations, and they import most of their sugar.

It's a matter of embarrassment, not pride.
The longer this goes on the harder it is to make any sense of the Brexit nonsense-every Brexiter opinion, promise, analysis has been proven wrong or sheer fantasy. It should be so simple for a Brexiter to point out clear how it provides more benefits than disadvantages.

He will, but if enough of the country sees through his waffle and connects the chaos with incompetence, perhaps he will be he given the boot. As will happen with Trump next month.

Yes - it's as well to remember that Brexiters are in fact in a considerable minority in the UK, even more so when it's taken into account that the current flavour is not what was promoted, despite the oft-repeated lie that it's the only one which could possibly have fulfilled the outcome of the Bogus Referendum.

The last 4 posters have their heads so far up their own arses they have lost touch with reality. Not an unusual trait amongst remainers.
