Some years ago I had the privilege to work for a Manager (actually a leader, in the very real sense) who, on the very rare occasions that he got it wrong, would say "Patrick, my mind is made up, do not confuse me with facts".

Trade will always take priority .

And did it improve your relations?

To get that money back for UK Plc, UK exporters (assuming net profits of 10% and a Corporation Tax liability of 20%) will have to export £3.25 Billion of goods & services.
The latest export credit guarantee offered by the Govt. is £1 billion AND current advice offered by the UK Govt. is -

Well what do you know... Fray Bentos meat products were invented by a GERMAN!!!!lol... Justus von Liebig.. who opened the factory in Uruguay in the early 1800's to make our veeeery British product OXO... It couldn't be more apt could it.
Went through a few metamorphosis before Vestey's bought it. Made a fortune in WW2 with it,,food for the troops. Known as the poor man's food.Corned beef was popular after the war in the days of rationing. Vestey's were vilified because they made a fortune without paying tax in the UK.. Now where have we heard that just recently? ummm
Baxter's own it now and Campbell's soup company still make the pies for export to Australia from Scotland... well who knew!!

When they're taught from an early age that the Falklands is their territory which the UK stole from them, is it any wonder most Argentinians don't like us.

Kinda like a people brought up in an alt-right bubble. They'll usually believe everything they're told too!

I have met a few Argentinians, not sure they disike us as people, just as a nation over a territorial dispute.
Just another example of self serving politicians distorting patriotism to suit their own agenda,

The Argentinean I know regularly apologies for their government's actions over the Falklands.
