Piers currently throwing a wobbly.
Who would have thought we would have Harry Reid to thank for it.

It would have been much funnier still, though if the GOP had volunteered five votes of support leaving Harry Reid as one of 41 votes against.

I heard it was "procedural", but I haven't bothered to investigate further.
Edit: Now I see. It apparently gives him the right to reopen the question and call another vote later on the same amendment.

No wonder Congress isn't trusted by a large segment of the population. A politician votes for something he manifestly doesn't believe in so he has the right to reopen the debate and engineer another vote that would not otherwise be allowed/ possible. Such shenanigans are deplorable, no matter which side or whoever engages in them!

Amusingly (hope that is OK as well) the majority disapprove of Obama's handling of the Gun Control issue.

Probably, like Obamacare, many disagree with what he's done, and as many think he hasn't done enough, making the "disapproval rating" a hopelessly confused composite number.

The only 90% plus number I would agree with is if it is the number of people who do not know what is actually proposed.
