I sense a general feeling of agreement amongst certain quarters on this forum, although apparently that's not something that's evident amongst the UK population at large.
I guess we'll be operating a turnstile at all the ports of entry in the same manner those Covid traffic lights or their equivalents operate in some stores, ie on a one in one out basis.

Only 3rd time CRAF has been activated, first one being in 1990/1991 then in 2002-2003 and now 2021.
Airlines really don't mind it, they sign up for it and in return get military charters that provides decent revenue, and crews tend to like charter flights as they tend to pay more $$.
Note that the US civil aircraft will not be flying to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, but to the temporary safe havens and interim staging bases, UAE is likely one as I know some were flown there, maybe Oman as well but they are not going to be flying into Kabul.

Seems the US did the opposite with their guards which is good, but UK needs to do the same and not leave them stranded and not use the stupid loophole of they didn't work for us, yes technically correct, but these people still put their life in danger for you, and UK still paid their salary although indirectly, and I am sure the UK can fit in 100 people somewhere.
British expat GardaWorld operations manager after informing the guards they no longer had jobs, left the country back to the UK the next morning.

One reason for the chaos was the decision to issue electronic visas, without names or document numbers, to SIV applicants. The visas were then copied as screenshots and sent by Afghans to thousands of other Afghans who were not eligible for access to the airport, a source told CNN at the weekend.

I suppose it depends where. Cities are more cosmopolitan and used to first generation immigrants in a way that Winchester is not.
Also, you are far too young to wear red trousers. OK, now that I've said that someone who looks about 14 just walked past me on the train, wearing them.
