Please do not try to catch/chase, they are very frightened. It looks like someone stealing a wheel barrow cut the wire fence and they have been let out or ran :-(

The dogs belong to a charity, both of them were not dealing well with kennels, they are so scared. They were in a safe specially created space outside of the charity kennels at a personal home. I am sure all that can be done is being done to locate and bring home. Thank you.

Both these dogs have returned of their own free will to their garden. Both are safe and other than looking a bit lighter weight appear fine. They will be monitored from a distance till they are a bit more settled. Fabulous news, they had been missing for a month.

Were they ill treated hunting dogs TCW? Makes my blood boil ..We have seen a couple hobbling around our area last winter, either caught in traps or deliberately maimed...their use over so they chuck them out. Don't know what the laws are in Spain ,but since dogs, horses etc have been declared 'sentient beings' here in Portugal things have improved,,Hope the dogs recover soon

GeniB, these dogs had been rescued and were being rehabilitated by Galgos del Sol Murcia. They were living off the centre with a very caring couple who have been amazing in their success in the improvement of them both. The circumstances of their "escape" is now clearer and it is amazing how they were tempted back home.
Yes the hunters in general but not totally are not caring of their dogs especially after they out live their usefulness, the level of cruelty they inflict is beyond belief. Spain has come a long way with animal care since I first came here. A long way to go but places like GDS and their schools education programme and all the other work they do is making good solid inroads to the change.
