Seems there's been a big scandal with Ealing Abbey in London. Seems there that the monks were using the school they ran as a paedo brothel, and the abbot has fled while on bail.

My question is this. At what point will the church fall into such disrepute with all this that it's worshippers will demand something be done?

Yeah, I'm not holding my breath, and I don't recommend that anyone else does either.

I don't follow any religion but I know if eg. I was a dedicated catholic I would worship on my own terms and in the privacy of my own home and disown publicly those bent priests and hangers on. There are just too many paedos amongst them to be a coincidence, more like a secret society

I know I don't like religion, but even I am stunned by the extent to which this pervades the church. Were I a worshipper, like you I would do it in the privacy of my own home rather than support an inherently corrupt establishment.

I'd want to organise every other worshipper I knew into a pressure group to try and do something about it.
