AS progs on Spain go this one was not al that bad, although exaggerated as one would expect of any prog.

On the gassing interview.

As a former DCI, I wonder how people KNOW they were gassed. That they slept through a burglary does not mean they were gassed. I had many such cases in UK, but that was before the 'lets jump on the gassed' bandwagon.

If one were the subject of a gassing then the 'hangover' effects would be severe. In the cases where I have spoken to people here, none had any follow up problems, thus gassing was unlikely, although I am sure there have been some cases.

What - feeding a fiendish tube through the blowing air-con? The doggy noticed nothing?
Where was the bloke with the pistola?

I do think the whole gassing thing has been blown out of proportion and is a fashionable way to admit you left the windows of your nice villa with Porsche in the drive open. I'm even aware of people using it to fake insurance claims

Is this the Lenox who 'sold' the Entertainer?

Thanks, I thought it was the same. He has my sympathy.

Thanks John.
I just sent a note to Piers Morgan - see if I get his sympathy as well:)

Maybe we could startup a "We've been affected by the Euesdens" support group?

I think he`s trying to be a modern day Alan Wicker but comes across as a cheap scumbag.

i think he gives scumbags a good name actually. the mere sight of this smirking wannabe celebrity gets up my nose pure and simple.
having served in the forces myself, and having friends who are still there and trying to do their best in conditions you wouldn't allow a dog to live in,and then you get this brainless idiot putting their lives in danger, well it says it all about him i think.
he paid for his mistake with his job,who knows how many soldiers paid with their lives? enough already.

.

Fair enough, but I have to say I don't see Windows bringing out a strap on brain any time soon.

However, there's an awful lot of people who would benefit massively from one.

Even intelligence can be wrong, some even placed the greats of the world as idiots because their theories where too advanced for there time.

Even today academics can be witnessed making some stonking cock ups.

Today science is correct, the future who knows.:)

Bil have you ever read Sartre's work ?

Try reading The Transcendence of the Ego by Jean-Paul Sartre written in 1937.

I quote from Wiki

"He concludes that though people can contemplate the same thing, we cannot contemplate 'the intuitive apprehension' of another. This connotes the Sartrean idea of becoming apprehensive about the awareness that we are to be responsible for our own doings, and also that we can be conscious of the thing like another consciousness is conscious of the thing, but we cannot reflect on their being conscious of the thing like we can reflect on our being conscious of the thing. In this way we are still only condemned to making ourselves as we battle with our own consciousness, and so we don’t create the world, we are objects in the world".

I will, right after I finish the director's cut of war and peace.

I think we can dissect out three different things here.

Intelligence, knowledge, and data manipulation.

Data is of little relevance without being able to use it coherently, but intelligence is by far and away the most valuable commodity. I have known some uneducated types who have demonstrated staggering intelligence, and some very knowledgeable ones who couldn't tell their rectal orifice from their posterior ulnar termination.
