Question Year abroad in spain, help!

I study spanish at hull uni and i'll be going to Cordoba on my year abroad in september. I'm thinking of renting a flat instead of living in student halls but I don't know how much it would cost me? I saw flats online for 250-350 euros a month, but what about bills and stuff? If anyone can help me i'd be very grateful

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

I would suggest you would need circa 800€ a month. Universities often provide assistance to locate (but not fund) private lets.

I would suggest you might think again? It can be isolating living on your own and it could help you meet more people / improve language skills living in halls and sharing communal areas.

Enjoy your time in Spain

Have you thought about renting a room in an apartment? http://www.idealista.com/en/alquiler...oba-provincia/ this could be useful in that there may be other students in the apartment wanting to learn English and you could learn from each other.

Hi,

Have you thought about living with a host family (familia de acogida/anfitrión) for the duration of your course?
