Personally, I think it is a waste of time, not because I think that psychics wouldn't be able to help, but because I think "Maddie" is probably already dead. And I think a hell of a lot of money is being spent on this case when there are other children that have also gone missing and the same resources have not been used.
I am so desperately sorry for what that little girl probably went through but I think her parents have a lot to answer for. Is it not time to accept that the truth will probably never be known and her parents let go of their guilt and move forward and concentrate on the two other children they have.
My son was murdered some years ago and so I do understand the pain, but at some point you have to let go.
I do feel however that psychics may sometimes be able to offer valuable help to some people.
My thoughts go out to families that are suffering this awful situation.
Pam.

Well, I think I'm glad that the investigation is still open.

I expect the psychic/dreamer stuff to be bull but it could be interesting. It's a long time ago now and the psychics haven't had a chance to update their predictions.

It would be nice to know what percentage of them were accurate.

Yeh I agree about how it would be interesting to see how many were accurate, but still think it has been very unfair to a lot of other parents who have missing children and who haven't been able to manipulate David Cameron in their quest.

Must be the most ridiculous news item of the decade! Every statistic points to the kid being dead within 24 hours. What pedeo would be hanging around a dead seaside resort in Portugal, organised gangs can pick them up easily in the 3rd world. How can the UK police be so naive...195 uninvestigated leads...yeah, all from nutters like the Brit who claims to have seen her 6 months ago in Nerja. Anyone see the recent Panaroma programme, a real eye opener. The Portugese police won't reopen it cos they believe the evidence they have that she died in the apartment. It's all about money...for the McCanns Apparently, cameron had his arm twisted by Murdoch newspapers into re-opening the case when he was still cosy with them.

You can't believe in mediums if you don't believe in god. They are con artists after their 15 mins of fame.

Wow! I agree with much of this.

At some time, what a medium says will be shown to be true (the same way a stopped clock is correct twice a day). And after that, we'll never hear the end of it.

I'm actually a member of a medium, psychic and believers forum (for research purposes) and hardly any of them believe in God.

Leviticus 20:27
“‘A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.’”
2 Kings 21:6
He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced divination, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, arousing his anger.

Agreed. Sadly the poor little girl is long gone and I agree with other sentiments here that the money and manpower would be better used elsewhere.

It's a very difficult case to comment on, but if there is any chance of the young girl being found alive, which I doubt, then the effort should be made, and the cost consideration is an irrelevance.

I have knowledge of a case in London where a man on a motor cycle threw a petrol bomb into the basement of a house killing five people.

A witness, a neighbour, saw the attack but couldn't remember the index number of the motor bike, she had only caught a glimpse of it, in the dark.

The detective in charge decided, against the rules, to use an American psychic/ hypnotist to put the witness into a trance and she came up with the motor bike's index number.

The suspect was traced but died of aids before he could be questioned.

The witness who had been put into a trance went completely off her rocker afterwards and the Home Office issued instructions that such psychics should never be used again.

I have an open mind on such matters.

Not sure I can agree with this.
There are regular occurances of stolen children turning up, especially white skinned blondes such as McCann.
The problems start when they reach puberty as they lose the allure of the younger child.

Due to myopic attitudes by the Portugese police too many years have been lost on this, it is only prolonging the agony for the parents, who will retain until death the belief she is still alive.
Irrespective of some reports they are probably killing themselves inside for leaving the kids alone - many parents do it without anything happening.
But at the end of the day it is their fault, not of any outside influence or individual(s).

UNICEF estimates that there are between 1.8 and 2 million children trafficked worldwide for the sex slavery "market", its been estimated that there are more people in slavery worldwide than were ever taken historically.

So much for slavery being abolished ,frightening if its right , means there's one hell of a lot of paedo`s out there and I reckon a white European child would be worth to money.

Why did they not take the two younger children at the time, that is what I don't get. They were toddlers and would have easily been kept quiet and integrated in another culture etc.

Which points towards a paedo / killer?, I think its unlikely to have been an organized gang abducting a child to sell as the the destination is most likely Africa, in which case surely they would have abducted a child off the CDS ,only an hour in a rib to Morocco?.
My money is on Gerry McCann , always has been.
