Working from home is pretty easy to do. I have more than I can handle.
I don't have experience of working for them but have used their services so try guru.com as they are a global freelance site. The people I've used have been great. Registring there and other places plus being proiactive should see the work trickling in

Well, I can't really help with advise or contacts.
However, my situation is that I work for a big UK company as a programmer. Have to keep popping back to the UK every two or three months to remind them who they're paying and always get the usual sarky comments, you know - "Oh, I expect you just lounge by the pool tapping away on your keyboard..." sort of thing.
But there's a bit of jealousy in the office because people only see the holiday side of Spain and not the actual living bit.
Whenever I book a bit of holiday the others predictably come out with "but you live on holiday!"
It's not all as easy as it might sound and I think it would be difficult to actually get a company to trust someone that they are actually working instead of just replying to posts on expat forums. It might be easier being self-employed or working for a third-party company, but not when you are an actual employee, the same as all the other office bods.

I get the last laugh, though, for now.
