Right, from what I understand, I am allowed to tint, but not the driver or passenger side because they are counted as emergency windows and putting tinting film on them would make them shatter proof.


Oh and wait for it................I have to have a certificate to say it is an authorised type, and the certificate has to be carried with the car at all times!

Nothing to do with Spain...but some states in the US don't allow the front windows to be tinted for ID purposes.

I've seen a Spanish plated car with a reddish window tint, quite dark, but only on the rear windows.[/I]

Hi,

My partner & I change number plates to Spanish, and we have had to remove window tinting to get the cars passed the ITV. The alternative is to get them Honologated - price around 300 euros, but only 275 euros to remove and redo !!!

I think five cars have had to be done, but am not sure.
